Philosophy

Grounded in Humanistic & Integrative philosophy, Brigitte sees all humans as equally valuable, inherently good in nature, unique in personality and human experience. Brigitte believes, all individuals have the capacity to achieve their full potential and grow exponentially.

Brigitte understands that life can be a very difficult and challenging journey at times. Her understanding, that each of us, may need help sometimes to work through our problems, and are deserving of the time to be listened to, to feel heard, and feel validated.

Approach

Brigitte’s developmental/relational and non-judgement approach provides a safe space for her clients to get to ‘the heart of the matter’ to talk about, whatever is on their mind.

Brigitte offers warmth, compassion, and an empathic understanding to wholly support individuals that are facing difficult times or dealing with specific issues from the past or in the present.

Brigitte integrates a psychodynamic approach, that may ‘shine the light’ on the individuals’ unconscious processes, bringing a new perspective, or a valuable insight or clarity to one’s problems. She holds the belief, that each of us, has a ‘treasure chest’ of inner resources to help heal oneself.

Brigitte’s interest in Neuroscience, explores body-centred approaches to therapy, such as, encouraging the practice of mindfulness and breathing techniques, that support the calming of the nervous system and the harmonization of the body and mind.

Her belief that by learning to effectively ‘regulate’ our body systems, improves self- awareness and the ability to better manage our actions and emotions. Furthermore, improving the overall physical and mental well-being of the person.
