Claire Harvey
Philosophy
Claire is a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP Accredited) providing one to one therapy. She is passionate about mental wellbeing and the power of having a safe space to make sense of what is going on in our lives. Her own experience of living with depression and anxiety led her to train as a therapist. She believes her own experiences enhance the type of therapy she is able to provide.
Approach
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours and identifies and challenges unhelpful patterns. CBT improves emotional regulation and helps develop more helpful and positive coping strategies and works towards making the client their own therapist empowering them with the tools and awareness to better manage their symptoms.
