Grace Holland
Training
Grace is an experienced and qualified counsellor with over 6 years of experience working with children, young people and adults. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means she adheres to their ethical guidelines and holds this at the centre of her practice. Grace regularly completes CPD and training opportunities to enhance her practice.
Grace has worked within charity settings supporting vulnerable children and young people and their families. She completed her undergraduate degree at York St John in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring. Grace also completed her post-graduate degree and masters in counselling at York St John. As a young therapist, Grace has an interest age and, completed a masters project exploring age within the counselling profession.
Experience
Grace has worked in a variety of different organisation and, she has experience working with a wide range of issues, both within a counselling and supporting capacity. These include: anxiety, depression, low mood, relationship issues, neurodivergence, abuse, trauma, grief / loss, anger, stress, low confidence / self-esteem. If it's something that is on your mind, Grace is happy to chat to you and see if it's something she can support you in navigating through. Grace now works in private practice and through two charities offering long- and short-term support.
Philosophy
"For me, you are the expert on yourself. I will work with you to help you navigate your journey. I believe our relationship is the most important part of our work together. I aim to provide you with a warm, welcoming, non-judgemental and confidential space to allow you to explore what you need. As a Humanistic integrative counsellor, I will collaborate with you in our sessions to help meet what you need from our space. I recognise that everybody is different therefore, I will tailor my approach to best suit your needs and, what you want from our space."
Grace works with young people (13+) and adults.
